I have been wanting to start entering my DVD's into some kind of database. kind of looked around the web a little, didnt find anything.

Was thinking about creating an access database, but never did it because I knew it was going to be time consuming.

A co-worker last week told me about a program named DVD PROFILER

http://www.intervocative.com/

Just installed it... i is awesome.

Every DVD has a UPC code on the back.. all you do is enter in the PC code of the DVD, it connects to a database on the internet and downloads all the info about the DVD.. I mean EVERYTHING!!

CAST, CREW, REVIEW, SRP.. just about everything you can think of.

I am using the free product right now, if you purchase it, the cost is like $25.00

Anyway, I found the solution to keeping track of my DVD's and thought I would share....

I have been using it for a few days. seems fully functional and havent had any guilt trip pop ups or anything.

but the program is so awesome, even if there isnt any pop ups I am probably going to pay the $29.00 or whatever it is. totally worth it as far as I am concerned..

Luckily for me...Netflix keeps a history of the movies I have "rented" in the past....so I can just request an email with the history in it.... Just an FYI for those who also use Netflix and keep an "archival backup" copy.

Sweet!

I had an app that was a pain in the butt. It catalogs CD's as well as DVD's but ya have to load them in your CD/DVD drive and scan them one at a time to get the info. Starting off is a pain but after you've spent a mere 80 or so hours scanning discs and cursing it's all worth it.
