Man, you guys have me worried now. I've had my 09 for two weeks now with about 550 miles but no problems like the ones you guys are describing. Reason i'm worried is bcuz I commute 100 miles each way. Would really hate for this issue to happen along the way.

My busa has been home since friday around noon. They replaced the regulator. One of the shop guys I spoke with indicated it was a somewhat common problem, but not every 2009 had it. Anyway, did some modding and some riding over the weekend. A couple hundred miles, many stops and starts, and not a single problem. I'll give it a month or two before i call it fixed. ;-) Anyway, here's a picture:
