Gen 1 vs. gen 3 swingarm?

First 4 years are different, Part number charged at 2012 / 13 so I’m guessing it’s ABS related as that’s when it came in.

Gen 1 vs. gen 3 swingarm?

Just incase anyone else is looking at old threads for info… My Gen-2 and Gen-3 do NOT have the same part number, and the Gen-3 wheel assembly needs to need some meat taken off the caliper carrier to fit a Gen-2 arm.

    Conversion of hayabusa

I held off as I have no idea what he’s asking. Swapping the engine ? Swapping back and front subframes and plastics ? Swapping the front end ? Swapping the wheels ? Maybe all of the above and he’s trying to get a better Gen-2 Johnny Cash style… “One bit at a time”

    Dynojet PCV/PCVI Worth it?

I have 2 bikes running PowerCommanders. Both are reasonably healthy and we’re dyno mapped. They were both on the bikes when I bought them. Personally I wouldn’t buy one my self. For me a flashed ECU offers and unlocks so much more, and I’m a fan of setting up on a dyno so it’s never going to...

As a kid my parents had a neighbour who gave me my first job. He was very well spoken and very wealthy (owned factories and multiple large manor houses) but always very calm and well mannered. I knew he had done his time in the military but it was never mentioned. I later found out when he...

One of my favourite pics isn’t of a bike but of one of my neighbours Garry. A neighbour of mine, a really nice guy, very modest and down to earth. Spent quite some time chatting and laughing about stuff, Jap bikes and Harleys, both own Australian Cattle Dogs, push bikes, our neighbourhood...

Never had kids, no drugs in over 20 years, sober for 17 years, don’t gamble, rarely spend money on unnecessary things like clothes or haircuts, drive base model cars and a 50 year old tractor…. but bikes…. my downfall. I can’t resist them ! I have a very understanding wife! …. well, maybe she...

    Suzuki Bandit

I know I’m living in denial ! I love my Busa’s and GSXR11, if I could only have one bike it’d be a Gen-3 Busa, but every time I ride my Bandit or B-King I swear my whole body breaths a sigh of relief …. LOL.

… or better still use the complete DOT head from the 750 J/K 88/89 (I think) GSXR750. It’s has the larger size valves, some spicy cams and raises the compression a little. It’s a popular mod for fast Bandits and a step up from just swapping cams. There’s a GSX-F that uses the same head but it...

    Weather Where You Are

Regular overnight lows of around 15 degrees C ( 59 degrees F ) Regular daytime temps of around 23 degrees C ( 73 degrees F ) They have been promising rain most days for the last couple of weeks but we’ve only seen 1 or 2 very light showers so far this month. I’m still watering all the new...

I like them, I always joke about them being “Big Boys Meccano”. I was going to do the DOT head swap on my current one but haven’t got around to it. It’s still on my long to do list. I find them a bit of a slim bike, and stock suspension is definitely on the budget side, but I’m still a huge...

When Bandits were fairly new, went to the local drag strip. They were running some sort of “True Street” class, they didn’t like my nitrous addition, or Frank The Painters quick shifter, so paired us together… I used it to commute to work for a while, got through a LOT of nitrous…. LOL

The original 12’s, are normally just referred to as oilcooled (even though the motors are partly air cooled), but yes, the later 1250’s were Watercooled. Much prefer the earlier bikes, although they got a soft tune set up they were very much GSXR1100 based, and benefit from this in several...
