HELP!!!!.......this is a good one, dont laugh!

Lofty, with a little bit of luck, you might be able to do it by removing the tail light. If the cable is near the cable harness hole, you might be able to wiggle it thru the hole and just pull the wire. Use a metal clothes hanger. Good luck!

    Texas Busa Owners

I'm from El Paso, Texas, but it's 9 hrs from San Antonio (now you know one more town from Texas) so I will pass this year.

White Crud on Gas Cap Rubber

Busa, same crap on mine. I've also had numerous bikes and this is the first to show that (busa is my first suzuki). I use chevron premium exclusively, but El Paso has mandatory oxygenated fuel in Winter. I tried to remove it and it didn't come off, but it didn't concern me too much since I...

    Splitfires anyone?

Go 1/2 turn after manually seating plug. The manual is wrong on the torque figure; I removed the plugs with my hands when I read some posts about it at 200 miles on the clock. It would take a lot more than 1/2 turn to damage the threads on the head. I put new plugs and that's where the 1/2 turn...

    MOTOTECK GAGES

I would pay $50, or maybe even the $100 asking price, but for all FOUR. I don't have a problem reading my gauges; I would buy the white ones just for looks. [This message has been edited by valklex (edited 12 August 2000).]

    DumbButt Oil Level Question....

I have a '00 too, and I let it drain overnight on the rear stand, then put it on the side stand for a while, and again a few hours on the rear stand (it drains quite a bit more this way). Exactly 4 qts go in at the F mark (I never trust the amount stated on manuals). Make sure you don't put SJ...

    Tire pressures for twisties

I have a question on this matter. All my previous bikes (hondas) had air pressures for 1 or 2 passengers, and the busa has only one, so it has to be the one for a fully loaded bike. I always ride solo, and I weigh 155 lb. Do I really need the 42/42? That's what I'm running now, but I would like...

AIR PRESSURE QUESTION NOT IN MANUAL.

My point is that it's not the same riding with my 155 Lb than with 390 Lb. 42 psi is the maximum allowed pressure to withstand the maximum allowed weight stamped on the tires at sustained top speed rating. The busa is far from fully loading the tires with just the weight of the bike and mine...

AIR PRESSURE QUESTION NOT IN MANUAL.

All my previous bikes were hondas, and they always had air pressures of 36/36 for rider less than 200 Lb, and 42/42 for any total weight higher than 200 Lb. (heavy rider or riding 2-up). The busa only specifies 42/42, and I always ride solo, and my weight is 155 Lb. The 42 obviously covers a...

    oil overfill by dealer

Same thing on ALL my bikes, so when my busa was delivered by truck to my house I had to release 1/2 quart to bring it back to maximum. Check all the items installed by the dealer during set-up: brake/clutch levers (especially the nuts underneath), triple-clamp nut, seat bolts, battery nuts (also...

    Hands go numb

The easiest way, believe it or not, just keep the rpms away from 4,500 to 5,500 (at least on my bike). You can feel the engine kind of grinding on that range, and that's what numbs your hands right away.

what aftermarket exhaust gaskets work on the busa

I bought mine at midas when the dealer told me they were back-ordered for 3 weeks. Identical. Just take one of the used ones to match it.

    200/zr./17 tires

I was also terrified to lean my bike because all the comments I heard on the BT56s. Well, after 2000 miles, and progressively leaning the bike until I had my tires worn 1/2" off the edge; not a hiccup. And the tires still look almost new. Hell, if I get more than 5K out of them, I'll stick with...

    Best Sport Tourer?

I wouldn't consider the blackbird if you didn't like the busa. I had a blackbird and I consider the busa more comfortable (although it seems like the opposite if you just sit on it at the dealer: deceiving). The VFR is definitely much more ergo friendly than the birds of prey (I had a '97 but...

    Question for Falconcop161

Richard, I never heard of a .357 Coonan semi-auto before. I never considered buying the deserteagle, but based on the apparent success of the .357sig, I'm going to consider replacing my kimber 45 compact with a .357sig for concealed carry. Apparently there are a lot more models out there that I...
