Who rides with tennis shoes on?

I've ridden w/ both full type of gear and w/out any real protection at all. Just last week I was toolin' down R53 South w/ my T-Shirt, sweat pants, Nikes and a 'busa @ about 145mph until traffic blocked me. That was quite fun and I felt I got up to speed faster than when I wear my full face...

    RALLY In VEGAS

I'd make an attempt to go. That would be a great place to establish a club of sorts. At least exchange numbers and establish faces with handles.

    Streetfighter Hayabusa

Yeah, believe it or not its been around since last summer. It was put together by Two Brothers Racing from someone's crashed, write-off Hayabusa. Here's the link to their site: http://twobros.com/hayabusa/rodan/rodan.html

    running from \"the man\"

If its not obvious let me try, and I do mean try, and clarify. If we all tried to think alike there wouldn't be anybody around much longer after that. No one is perfect. Whether one tries to be or not. Presumably 99% of those whom post own a Hayabusa or at least a motorcycle of some type...

Running from the man...It can get you killed

I saw that story on television. On the Magdaleno case it was settled out of court for an undisclosed sum with the widow. It was established and proven that the F UC K ING sugar chasing a couple of kids in city traffic at high speeds did not illuminate his lights and sound the siren. It is...

    running from \"the man\"

Stupid is as stupid does. Remember that? You tell us Kirk. Decisions are made every day in fractions of a second. Whom better to understand this than motorcycle riders dealing with 2ton traffic or more every time they go out. Kirk himself admits to receiving traffic citations and hopes that...

    running from \"the man\"

This is a pretty fierce topic!! I am glad I decided to read it. I agree that speed kills. Whether its in your vains or on the road. I also believe that skill saves lives. I know that no one really gives a s hit what I think but I'll post it anyway. I assume the risk of injury for myself and...

    Riding Naked

I can't blame you. I think you should leave the front fairing on. I retrieved my 'busa from its first service and what I didn't notice right away was that a fairing screw was missing and a fastener was busted. As long as the road isn't wet or muddy along the way why not.

00\' Busa as my first bike...ever?

Hey Madman, here is another thread for you to browse through that may/may not help you on your decision. If you're really into going fast and don't need a loan to get a bike, then I suggest getting an old racer and getting some track days in this summer. I am quite positive they will improve...

gas shut off on the gas tank

I've ran it dry before. No ill effects noticed. This is even before the fuel petcock recall work was done. Of course this is not an endorsement to do so. I've ran the 'busa on near empty as well seeing the indicator light on the fuel gage turn on. I was able to hit at least 10 miles and I then...

    Anyone run a Blackbird?

"The other white meat." That was pretty funny. I liked it. I've heard it used with other subjects it was cute but when I read it here I had to smile a mile wide. :) :) :) :) :)!!! And to top the topic off, there are those whom still don't believe the 'busa to be the best production bike...

they are everywhere i go!!!!!!!how many busas have been sold or made t

I've seen quite a few at the Chicagoland Races the week prior to 4th of July. I didn't notice any other copper 'busa besides my own. I wonder if the copper 'busas all crashed already. Its bad enough that we don't get all the colours that all other countries seem to get, I feel that copper/silver...

    Miles per Gallon

The most I've seen on the mpg meter supplied with the bike is about 36mpg. I now see around 32mpg. :( Oh well.

    Joey Dunlop is dead

I just read about him in BIKE magazine........ To say that that sucks is the understatement of the century. My condolences to his family and friends. He was a phenominal rider and will remain a legend, always.
