Mike... sorry I don't have time to comment on all your questions... however... don't pry up on the black plastic fastners!!! use a punch or small screw driver and push in on the center... this will release the fastner and allow you to lift it out with your fingers... reassembly is the reverse...

Anyone that tells you to try to fix it with "crazy glue", "fix a flat", etc is CRAZY... don't take a chance... replace that tire... even plugging a tire should be considered a temporary fix... just to get you home... this is a high performance motorcycle... two wheels only, not four... lose one...

Jersey... that was Philo's bike on LABUSAS... thank you for the compliment. I've gotten some things from Cycle Stuff (Charles is a good guy!) but the A-Tech stuff came from KawAbuser (see post above for email address)... the under fender is also available in fiberglass from A-Tech... less money...

An "Easy out" should be considered a last resort item... it's hardened steel... if you break it off (and that's not hard to do)... now you're really stuck... almost impossible to drill out.
