    Miss My Busa

Well, its been gone a few months and I still got the need for speed. The Ducati even with the mods just ain't the same. I may look for a late 2000 model, blue/silver. Any out there in Texas?

    So Long!!!

Cisco, I don't know what I'm going to do after break-in. I'm still getting used to the price tag. It will need pipes of some type and a chip to match. Any suggestions? Next spring I may simply head west and look in on a few folks. Take two weeks and bum out. I miss the Busa already, but the...

    So Long!!!

I've already got a Ducati 900SS, a little tamer than the Busa. I'm also expecting the arrival of my 2000 Road King Classic in June so the wife can ride two up. One day already past and I miss the Busa. There's still nothing like it out there. The Ducks OK.

    So Long!!!

Well, I did it. I sold the Busa. I had to make room for the new toy. All of you guys have been a great resource. Take care and be safe!

    Wacky insurance rates from Allstate

I've got DairyLand Ins. here in Texas and they're cheap. 12 months for bothe the '99 Busa and '00 Duck 900 SS run around $861 with a $500 ded. Of course, I'm 46, no tickets (yet!) and no wrecks. Riding bikes for 30+ years. My homeowners, Kemper, with the house and two cars wouldn't touch the...

    clutch!!!

Clutch is a "normal" wear item, however, the dealer needs to find out the "why" behind the slipping. That "why" may and should be covered. I'd pin him down as your bikes too new to have a worn out clutch.

    ZX-12 owners on suicide watch

The real shame here is that they could'd put that deposit money in the market. Then they could have paid cash for that ZX12 provided it ever showed up. Wonder if they can roll the deposit over for next year's model? [This message has been edited by jr7501 (edited 17 March 2000).]

    Gas Prices

Bottom line guys, is they got us by the balls so we'll have to pay up. Looks like we'll need to drive the Busa instead of the car. Gee, is that a bad thing????

Taping up a Busa for the track

There's a number of colored duct tapes out there that will work. Be sure to pull the light fuse so the glue dosen't bake on. I learned the hard way. WD-40 works great to remove the residue. Another option is to use masking tape to cover most of the light then go over it with duct tape...

    I NEVER !!!

I never had a problem with my Busa either. This one will have its first b-day soon and narry a one! I did have one of those "kickstand" issues, but I caught it before it hit. I didn't know I could press 474 or whatever the offical weight is.

    LOWERED FOOTPEGS ANYONE?

Sorry to just now get back on the thread. No, I didn't measure, but "feel" that I got an inch out of the GSX-750 pegs. Remember, I'm 6'4', 253 lbs. and the "feel" between the OEM and the 750 pegs was big for me. Also, no pics but, take a close look at a 750 the look is generally the same.
