Thanks edubb1971 for your opinion. Do you know what a power commander does and could I do it myself?

I have just had a complete D&D pipe system put on my 2007 Busa. The technician stated that I did not need a power commander that he would do the remap by using a probe to sniff the exhaust for fuel and air. Can someone confirm if this is right? Others have told me that I need a power commander...

I recently purchased a 2007 Hayabusa and had D&D pipes put on. The mechanic is telling me that I need to have him remap the bike which would cost $225. Others are telling me I need to get a power commander. Any advice on the best route?
