Maybe some of those LED license plate lights could be used in some way. Either bolt them into the gauge mount or make some brackets that come up next to the gauges. (example: http://shop.savvyoffroad.com/images/DSC00409.jpg) ......or, buy new gauges when you can.
Thanks...I've never been fond of the triple tree mount and dash areas. I haven't mounted the "2000" switch yet as I'm not entirely finished with this build. I was thinking about mounting it under the dash trim with only the selector knob above the plastics (with 1-5 positions labeled in the...
oh yeah........murdered......I've been intending to message you. I've seen many of your posts and comments and posts on your build(s). If you wouldn't mind me asking a bit of advice on my personal build, i'll PM you. Just trying to get an opinion or two on a "minor" detail before I begin to...
Looks like I'm a bit late on a reply, but I will still provide a bit of info that I've picked up recently. I live about 45 minutes from Stedman's shop. The SRP intercooled plenum is now provided by The Motorhead (Dennis Clanton, LSR) and Jay Stedman(Drag) who is doing the majority of...
Thanks man. Looking at the picture you posted, you'll need to lower the rear. 2 inches will be a noticeable improvement and increase the preload some, but I suggest NOT to stiffen the shock completely. Leave a little bit of squat so your suspension can help control the bike and traction.
For...
I'm jumping in a bit late since I haven't seen this until now, but i'll give you a breakdown of my times and SWB bike for more comparisons. Last night my best two runs in the 1/8 were 6.183 at 116 with a 1.522 sixty, 4.076 - 330'. Backed it up on the next pass with a 6.182 at 116, sixty foot...
By the way, i watched a guy run a 6.08 and backed it up with a 6.07 on a stock wheelbase gen 2 with just a full yosh and airshifter, zero map in the PC. (this is why i need more power, lol)
as far as APE having the parts you need..... I got my new crank, output shaft, and miscellaneous other parts a few weeks ago
The only thing that's holding me back from ordering the rest RIGHT NOW is I still can't decided if i want to do a turbo or motor/nitrous build ...
It sounds like more seat time/practice should be the first goal.
Some numbers from my current '06 - 6.26 @ 117 in the 1/8 at STOCK wheelbase, stock motor, front lowered 1.25" + strapped, rear lowered (rear axle 1 inch lower than swingarm pivot while sitting on the bike), STOCK header with...
Thanks. I sent him a facebook message. I mostly sign on to the forums while at work, but the security on those computers is so restrictive that I cannot complete registration at psychobike. I'll have to do that later
.
I picked up a head with the larger exhaust valve seats because it was a...
Thanks, i'll hit him up. If i have his name right, i see him posting up stuff for sale all of time on a Facebook page. May check with him there.
As for the the bore/engine size, i'm particularly interested in the effects on engine sizes from 1441 up to 1507. I think i'll stick to...

I've been looking/searching for this "specific" type of head setup, but it seems the majority either uses all stock size valves on intake and exhaust or all oversized on both intake and exhaust.
I've also been curious to know if anyone has played/ported a head that has one intake port/valve...
