I did some testing with GPS back in 2011. On a gen 2 with stock gearing 186 mph on speed limiter. 193 mph on rev limiter with top speed limiter removed. 198 mph with same setup but 200/55/17 pilot power. Stock gearing could hit 200 with taller tire and bump the rev limiter up 200 rpm.
I run a full yoshi r77 on my 2nd gen busa. Runs perfect on the stock tune. It gets great gas mileage, spark plugs look good, has plenty of power as it runs 8.90's in the 1/4 at 156 mph. And it will run wide open topped out for miles. All while burning 87 octane gas. You do not need a tune.
I have had this issue on my 2nd gen. Bike would start fine cold but if I stop for gas it would not turn over fast enough to start. Sometimes to get it running I could put the bike in top gear and roll the motor over, and then it would start. This could possibly be a fuel vapor issue or injectors...
I know this is old but I have accurate #'s for a de restricted second gen. These are real life gps numbers. stock gearing/stock tire gen 2 -186mph on speed limiter. Same setup with speed limiter removed- 193 mph on rev limiter 6th gear. Same setup with 190/55 pilot power- 198 mph rev limiter 6th...
Does anybody know about how much boost you can safely run on a non intercooled setup running 93 octane gas with water/meth injection? fully built 2nd gen, gt3788
My bike is a 2008, it's lowered, has a yoshi pipe, and has the top speed limiter removed. thats it. No power commander or tuning, stock air filter, gearing.... with a 190/55/17 tire and no mirrors it went 198mph according to my gps. If I wasent out of gear it was mighty close cause the tach...
I run a swb stock motor 08" and i dont go to the track much so i run stock gearing on the street, but when i go to the track I just throw a 16 tooth on it and it works awsome. It runs almost the top of 5th in the quarter and launching is much easyer. It was pulling 1.57 60 foot. the 16 tooth...
