A Real Individual is running for President

Dang, Red, and I thought I was doing all the right exercises with my weights, LOL. Never thought about it this way, but you have a point. I actually do enjoy writing, and don't think of it as a waste of time even when it seemingly doesn't go anywhere. A good joke is always a welcome direction...

Does anyone see the parallel between motorcycling and snowboarding?

Yep, makes sense. I am eyeing jet skiing, but not there yet. Mostly day dreaming when walking in the marina near me, and seeing guys having fun. I've ridden on jet skies a couple of times while on vacations. My concern is that I will get bored after a few rides.

Does anyone see the parallel between motorcycling and snowboarding?

When it's cold and snows, all I can do is pet her on the back, move by a couple of inches so that tires don't develop a flat spot, maybe once in a while open garage door and fire her up for a few minutes - just to exercise the gaskets (LOL), and get that feeling, you know. I've been skiing...

A Real Individual is running for President

We never ran a poll which would highlight an important point of a political debate here at H.ORG... What percentage of members changed their political views after being presented with an argument from an opposing side? If I had to guess, that would be zero or close to zero. Which means that...

    Civilians Killed in Gaza....

"mark my worlds Israel will end up reoccupying the Gaza strip in the next year or so. how long does Israel have to wake up every morning and eat rockets for breakfast?" Prophetic!!!

faulty batch of Tokico 4-piston-radial calipers in ´08 I suppose

Interesting... These are rear brakes, and who uses them anyway? I have gen 1, and never use rear brakes except to check that they are functional, and on those very rare occasions when riding on the grass for a few seconds (track day excursions). As to the pictures, showing presumably...

Hayabusa doesnt like to lean. Wants to stay upright? Is this normal

I vividly recall the difference in turn-in effort between an almost done set of tires (with inevitable flat spot in the middle from street riding) and a new set of rubbers. Literally, day and night. With the new ones, the bike literally falls into turns. Another factor at play - with the Busa...

When you realize there is no longer a point in counting years... only rides, one at a time, and joy, and smiles... and getting back home safe... and smile again... and pet your bike on the tank... and thank for a good ride... and a couple of days later pet again and ask if she wants to go for...

    Gen 1 side plastics

Holly-molly! That's a lot of work! I can do basic maintenance and tires. Other than that, I did valve clearance check/adjust once on a Katana-600. Tearing up the engine is too much for me. Good for you for getting so intimate with the bike!

    Gen 1 side plastics

Just curious, what happened to the bike, so that you had to rebuild it?

Why are there so many used 2022 and 2023's for sale with low mileage?

After reading all replies, I continue appreciating my '06 with stage 1 turbo (240 hp at the wheel), which cost me $12.5k altogether in 2013 - purchase plus turbo install (once again, big thanks to Frank from Power House Motorcycles). It has seen track days and street riding, and I still love...

    Been gone a long time

Rob, I think I remember your screen name, although myself been away for a long time. Conquering fears is one of the biggest challenges a man can face. Without hijacking the thread, I am only gonna mention that I have a first hand knowledge of that. Seems like you faced your fears, and you have...
