Cool. My sister lives in Reno. I was out there desert riding September by Fallon. I have no idea where we went but it was a blast cover around 80 miles a day. I just followed my buddies group. There was in place with lots of trees in full autumn colors. Couldn't even tell I was in Nevada
Here is a vid of last weekends ride from Lake Tahoe through the Rubicon Trail to Georgetown. Carnage to the bike and body but the ride was Epic.https://youtu.be/LEngCVGG4MU
Anyone else try a different tire, hopefully with a rounder profile. I've been running Darkside (car tires) for years on my Goldwing with excellent results. Even tested them at Laguna Seca and Buttonwillow Raceway with no ill effect at speed. I'm planning on a long summer tour with the Busa and...
You can either tape them or make them inoperative. Just very strict on sound is all. I did get blackflagged on the second to last session and told very politely that my day was done. I was sufficiently tired and happy that it didn't matter.
Great day yesterday. 74 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Didn't get to take the Busa out as my BMW miraculously passed the strict 90 db sound limit (just short shifted between turns 5 and 6).
Here she is all covered with bugs from a 300 mile ride to Harris Ranch for 24oz Ribeyes with all the trimmings. It's was a gorgeous 74 degrees...some encouragement for those of you still stuck in winter.
Insurance companies will always total a bike if anything structural on the frame is damaged from my experience. As the previous poster said, my right side footpeg mount was sheared from the frame. All the front, rear and left side plastics and exhaust were damaged. Subframe bent.
Just spoke with TT. If you already have the Blaze saddlebag system, you can buy the mounts for the Busa for only $100. Needless to say, I placed an order since I don't need two sets of bags
I'm back to mountain biking, hiking, track days. There is still pain in my right knee and I have not motocrossed or skied since the accident until I feel my knee is stable enough. I had major reconstruction of my right ankle back in 2001 and I've learned to be patient. It took 2 years until my...
Also, look for injection molded plastics. Most problems are from compression molded products which are junk. Another good bet is to look for the suppliers customer rating. There were plastics for much cheaper but I avoided them fearing an inferior product. If you are super anal about your bike...
If you expect OEM quality for $460 delivered to your door, you will be disappointed. Paint quality and graphics are decent. However, there is very little clear coat. It would be a good idea to add more clear coat if you wish more durability. I was just happy to put a totalled bike together for...
Front and rear fairings fully installed. May paint the hump and rear completely black but still undecided. The side fairing is not fully installed but did so for pics. I was more than satisfied with the fit, which was my biggest worry. Everything bolted right up without hassle.
