New Kaw - King of the Road??

I got a good look at the new Triumph at the bike show in Chicago last weekend. It is a MASSIVE bike. It has the aerodynamics of a modern diesel locomotive, ie a giant BRICK. I don't care how much horsepower it may have, it won't be able to overcome it's inherent aero limitations. Dep

    Busa Calender

Greg: As suggested above...I'd be more than happy with the same pics in the 2004 calender. It was neat to flip the month up and see a pic of my bike's colors on there. Not too keen on seeing someone else's bike though. I would also Pre Pay through Pay Pal or any other way you would want it. Dep

    DORK OF THE BOARD AWARD

Okay Babuski...since you just did it yourself, I have a some questions for you. BTW...you don't have that DORK title..I DO!! I've been trying to find out if the oil drain bolt has an o-ring or a crush washer. Did you see this mysterious item and can you illuminate me on it's elusive...

    Oil change questions

I still can't figure out if what you guys are talking about is a washer or o-ring?:super: An o-ring is made out of rubber. A washer is generally made out of metal. Just because a washer may be inconvenient to get off, DOESN'T mean it shouldn't be replaced. Not being argumentative here or...

    Oil change questions

Well now I have dissenting opinions on the ring around the drain bolt. Cookie says stay with the old one and flipz34 says replace it. I can't see the harm in replacing it. If it's a crush washer, it's already been crushed when it was installed. So I would guess it SHOULD be replaced to enable it...

    Oil poll

I'm getting ready to do my first oil change on the Busa (see other thread I started). Are you saying there IS an o-ring on the drain plug? I saw no mention of it in the service manual, but with my past experience with o-rings, I think I'd WANT to replace it with every oil change. It's not...

    Oil change questions

HUH? :super: :super: 3/4 around what? More importantly...is there an o-ring/gasket/washer on the dran bolt that will need to be replaced? Nothing in the service manual about that. Dep

    gasoline

"High octane levels are only needed for high compression engines." After reading that I had to run in the bedroom and drag out the service manual for some specs. Unless they have lowered the compression ration from 1999, it's 11.0-1. That's pretty freaking high in my book. The service manual...

Found the filter (Emgo 10 micron) and wrench at Dennis Kirk. Filter was $9 and wrench was $8. Guess I am a cheap SOB :) Dep
