is the clutch lever going in far enough to open up the clutch and send an "ok" signal to click the starte relay. This happened to me last week after messing with the dial on the lever...

same thing happened to me and it was the fuel system (clogged filter on a 99)

luckily it was staged...

the drivetrain will always act funny when the rear wheel is up in the air, put it down, give it a test ride, and hopefully it will be nice n smooth.
