yeh I at the dealer (performance in pineville, nc) they wanted $515 for my helmet and I got it online for $410 to my door. Just had to do an hour or so of searching to find the deal. Next cheapest I saw was $460 plus shipping.

I also wear an RF1000 and love it. The ventilation is superior to the HJC that I had and the weight difference is rediculous. The Shoei is waaaay lighter and fits my noggin pretty good. After going from HJC to Shoei I def wont go back.

I dont agree with this at all. I road a couple hours today and when I stopped my head was sweating like crazy. I think the temp was about 93 deg or so. The rest of me was hot but not sweating. And unless Im going over 65mph my visor is always open. I wear a shoei rf1000 picotte replica.
