Space under the seat is pretty limited my friend... I don't think a battery that is 5 inches TALLER than stock will fit. But, if you have kids... or a walmart near by... grab some Playdoh and add 5 inches to the top of your battery and see if you can still get the seat to fit without it...

So would the answer be to swap the front ends entirely to a Gen2? (Ohlins would be great, but I just dropped a ton of $$$ on this bike, and I am not looking to become divorced. Lol). If so, would the R1 wheel and axle still fit?

Recently picked up another Gen 1 (this one turbo'd). Currently has a R1 front wheel with Chopaleg's axle... My Question, can I simply swap out forks and calipers to a Gen 2 (brembo's) and expect everything to bolt right back up?

+1... anyone that tells you they need to dyno your bike to sync the TB has no idea what he's doing. If syncing the TB's and swapping plugs doesn't work, you may have some gummed up injectors. Being that it's an 07 with less than 10K miles, it's very possible. BUT BEFORE doing all that, check...

1K seems a bit low. My Gen 1 ran/runs like crap if it's set any lower than 1250rpm... not sure about a Gen 2. Here is a link to perform this on a gen1... Idle adjustment location on '05 I could be wrong (and someone please correct me if I am), but I doubt much would have changed on a gen 2...

Hmmm... Without pictures or a video, it's tough to tell. If you can post up either, it may help us get to the bottom of it. Your best bet is to grab a service manual (I can scan the pages you need and upload them if need be), and start disassembling again. 9 out of 10 times you can identify...

Are you actually making contact with the inner side of the clutch cover?
