well you could find a stainless steel welder guy in your area. put the VH header on and get it lined up and have the guy weld it while its on the bike. I just had too many problems and the sound was very tingy from the think stainless. my oem with gutted CAT sounds much deaper and fits

I use a battery powered 3in buffer on my bike builds. in nook and crannys I just make sure those are nice enough during painting I don't need to buff inside. but you can sand with 2500 and hand rub if you really want to or need too. PM me if you have questions
