Similar problem on an 00 BUSA. FI would flash and die intermittently during riding. My number 4 fuel injector was mis-firing. Your #1 injector may be bad. Manually clean them and/or confirm it is firing/spraying properly. Gas in certain areas tend to GUM up in the injector.

May not be the ECU unless you have confirmed that it is bad. Had a similar problem once and found that an injector was mis-firing. Check injectors and or manually clean them. 00 Busa as well
