    Clutch Hydraulic Problem While Riding

UPDATE My stretched spring worked for a while, but yesterday the clutch slippage returned. The disks are fine--the problem is the clutch master cylinder. Found the stretched spring had returned to almost its original length of 5.1 cm. The factory spring isn't a "good" spring--the steel is...

    I've got this crazy idea...

As you leave Phoenix you'll pass within 3 1/2 miles of my house. Lemme know when, and if you wanna crash overnight we've got room.

    My Roadcrafter is falling apart

No. Bought mine in 2000. It's been machine washed several times, and also power-washed at a car wash twice--while I was wearing it. I rode in it while in Italy for 5 years, and there's a lot of diesels over there. Worst part is the black-belching semis. They manufacturers won't spend a...

    need help please

Pocahontas, huh? Ask some of the old timers there if they remember a day back in 1964 when a C-130 landed alongside a highway/road. There was some kind of general store across the road. It was during a "Swift Strike 3" exercise. We were temporarily stationed near Walnut Ridge, AR, living in...

Reasons NOT to buy a Turbo for my Busa?

Last year I was looking for my first (and only) Busa, a '99 Copper. First one I found close by already had a Hahn turbo on it. Guy who built it was VERY meticulous. He put the turbo on at ~10,000 miles--stock engine, stock swingarm. He rode it another 30,000 street miles-no problems, and had...

    I wish I was a dog

So did a LOT of dogs that ol' Tommy got hold of. A lot of tortured dogs in a vain attempt to save his stupid DC idea.

    I wish I was a dog

He sure did. Tesla had teamed up with George Westinghouse, and they knew that the electrification of the country would require AC because of the ease of stepping the voltage way up for long distance travel, and then stepping it way down. After killing numerous dogs and other animals, including...

    I wish I was a dog

Here, try this. >"Edison, as noted above, had been working hard to link AC with death in the mind of the public, solely to protect his own investment in DC technology. In 1887, his staff collected reports of deaths involving AC in a pamphlet called "A Warning." With reporters present...

    I'm soooo tired...

If you have good insurance or can afford it, get to Mayo Clinic. I had an irritated femoral nerve in my upper thigh, and all the previous docs thought it was my disks--even after a lot of MRI work. The Mayo docs did an electrical (120 v!) nerve-conduction test and found the real problem...

what do you say to these idiots?

Why reply at all, unless you're looking for a fight. That's also a good reason to go to bars--alcohol tends to make them happen. Yeah, fighting is great as long as you win big, but you're going to lose one and that ain't fun at all.

    Close call yesterday..whew !!

It's not really for the auger. A Danuser auger weighs about 10 million lb. by itself. The weights are for traction when the auger is off and I'm using the bucket. That's what you have to do if you don't have a 4wd tractor.
