I'm fabbing up my own as well, do you recall what the factory wiring colors were so I can splice in my new taillight without trial and error.

My buddy wants to buy a set of billet grips for his bike but is wondering how comfortable they would be? He wears riding gloves and generally his riding is less than an hour at a time. He asked me what I thought and I had no clue how they are, I guessed they would be pretty uncomfortable.

I'm going to purchase some cheap bar end mirrors on ebay to get me by for a few weeks. What size ID is the handlebars? I want to buy some that slide in and replace the current bar ends. I found some that say fits 13mm and 17.2mm anyone know what size I need?

For what it's worth I did ride 240 miles on the E-way at 80 mph. I rode down to a friend's house and back and on the way down I ran "A" mode and back I ran "B". I was getting 38.5 mpg on "A" and 41 mpg on "B" for what it's worth.

I'll have to look into those with the quiet cores. My last bike was an 07 Fz1000 with a scorpion exhaust. Again I think I must be getting too old because my flowmaster on my truck and thru-hull on my boat (big block :laugh:) seem to be getting louder every year!

Someone needs to come out with some carbon fiber exhaust covers for the stockers and make a million on them! Maybe offer a more "normal" oval shape or something.

I noticed people have placed aftermarket exhaust inside stock silencer covers? So under the huge afterburner looking things there's an internal silencer that is separate? If so what do the stock silencer's look like? I really don't care for the giant cones on the back and was hoping for...
