    cold weather gloves

Busasweety, You all have matching Busa's? I'm full of envy. I wish I could get my wife to ride. She's a passenger rider only. Her legs are just short enough, she can't put them on the ground even if she was in the drivers seat. Anyway, I found a pair of Olympic gloves I had forgotten I had...

    cold weather gloves

Mark, thanks for your input. So often I have seen gloves that say they protect to 40 degrees, these look like they will go the extra mile so to speak.

    cold weather gloves

Well 2 of 3 say Tourmaster, these were my original thought. Hadn't heard of Held till today, but from other posts, they don't seem too bad. I think I would still go for Tourmaster though, thanks for the input.

    cold weather gloves

I am in need of some really warm, not electrically warmed, gloves, since I ride in almost all weather conditions. The gloves I have now are letting my digits get a litle too cold for comfort. I had been thinking either Firstgear or Tour Master. Has anyone got a favorite?

    question on financing

I get my 'full coverage' for about $170 every 6 months. Better to have that, even on a bike that is paid off. I had full on my previous bike, a 1994 VFR750, until I sold it a few months ago. On a note about Suzuki financing, I was a bit upset that they started charging me a finance charge from...

    centerstand installation help

I think I will get back to it when I do the next oil change and stuff. I just did the first service, so it might be a while, but hey, you never know, I just might feel like getting into it again before then. "stealership"? I like that one. Pretty much hits it on the 'money'.

    centerstand installation help

I removed the under fairing and bracket, removed the bolt under the frame holding the exhaust on, and even removed the pipes at the bracket, and try as I might, I can pry the pipe down, but the bolt would not go in. I get it in about 1/4", and no more. It looks like the assembly needs to come...

    centerstand installation help

Thanks for the reply. I went to the Zuki dealer today, and they only had about 1/2 the gaskets and o-rings I would need to replace, thinking it would be best to do so. That alone would be over $40. They said it would be 10 to 14 days to get some more, if I special ordered them. Soooooo, in the...

    centerstand installation help

Thanks, I was just wanting to make sure. I do have a friend at work who bought the same Busa a week before me, and he is pretty handy. We might get together. Appreciate the info. I probably will have to tackle it this weekend. says it is a 1-1/2 job, we'll see ! :-) Tony

    centerstand installation help

Just got my centerstand in today and am reading the installation instructions. It says, of all things, to remove the horn, and radiator bolts to remove the exhaust system. Is all this neccessary? Also, Clymers book says to replace the o-rings and gaskets on the pipes when re-assembling. Since...

    Busa Bash 2007: The Movie

Since I just bought my '07 Busa, I havn't had much chance to go on a ride yet, at least on this bike, but this video helps me feel better. If I can, I hope to go on an '08 ride . Thanks for posting, that was some cool footage . Tony

Motorcycle Safety Topic of the Week

I agree. I always wear a helmet, gloves and good jacket, most of the time a vented leather from Z-Custom, but I sent it back for repair last week, an inner pad came off. Heck, I had it for 12 years now. My other jacket is a Firstgear Kilimanjaro Jacket. I have boots, but don't wear them much. My...

    centerstand vs quick stand

That's a nice looking bike. You have kept it well. I had considered some Corbin bags, just too much for me right now. They do look nice though. The pictures show a lot, and your thoughts are much appreciated. Thank you for posting. I think I am going to get the center stand, and maybe later a...

    centerstand vs quick stand

Don't forget the mufflers, and yes, I think he was just using scare tactics to sell his own product. But at least the weight is low down and not on top. Tony
