Jesse Gatlin(AKA Gatlin Racing), Approxamately 9 to 12 months ago, Gatlin Racing contacted my company and purchased

a 240 fat tire kit for a customer of theirs.During the course of the conversation,Jesse requested that the kit be sent C.O.D.,

since we had not done business in the past.I agreed. Now,some many months later,I have yet to recieve any type of

payment. Not to condemn anyones buisness or livelyhood,I have tried repeatedly to correct the situation and all attempts

have been avoided. Finally after many months,I actually spoke with Jesse(the owner),and he denied claim for any product

recieved, any refuses to pay his debt.If know Jesse, contact Jesse,or have any interactions with Jesse, you need to be aware

that he has not satisified his payment with our company 12 months later.I am the last person who wants to post something

post this online, however, I feel obligated to do so.

If the kit was sent COD as indicated above, then how do you not have payment?

C.O.D. = Cash on Delivery.

Your story doesn't add up. Sounds like it might of gotten lost in delivery. I would hope you sent it insured and had a tracking number. You leaving out some key information to the story.

Never heard anything good about this guy, EVER!

THIS!!

This man is a crook, and I'm real suprised he is still in business.
There are stories all over the internet about his ways.

I too am curious how the product was delivered when it was sent C.O.D.

If check was cancelled it looks like to me you could contact the bank and they would make it good. If you prove it was delivered then you should be good unless he had an issue with the idem. JMO

I would be making a trip to STL with a friend, if it were me.

This cat is a trip. He deserves what he gets.

Good luck Bro.

holy crap, if you have a cancelled check and proof of delivery I would contact a lawyer and drag his a$$ to court and get him for not just the kit, but the interest for 12 months and more. :banghead:

COD means "Cash on Delivery". Carriers will allow for certified funds in place of cash, but that's it. If a personal check, or company check was accepted by the carrier then that carrier is responsible for the funds, unless of course you authorized a company check. If you didn't, then go after the carrier for your money.

First place, COD means collect on delivery. Not sure about Fedex, but UPS stopped collecting cash years ago. If you don't want a check you can state "secure payment" which will get you a money order or cashiers check.
UPS is not responsible if the payment is a fake or stolen.

if you have the canceled check and confirmation of delivery then you have a slam dunk case... contact a lawyer and it will not even make it to court.

I met Jesse over 20 years ago. He had a project bike in some bike mag...had an ELR Kawasaki with a big bore kit, cams, etc. So I took my KZ 1000 engine to him to build. Long story short he charged me for a bunch of stuff that was never done. I ended up having to redo what was done and do the things I had already paid for. He stole my money so I'm not surprised to hear this. Unfortunately he's managed to stay in business since the 1980's. Here's what I say to Jesse Gatlin:moon:
