Hmmm I am hoping that it is a capacitor or something cheap and not the motor :( Unfortunately I am an electrical/hvac idiot so I have to pay someone to do this for me grrr.

Ticket: blows!!!!

Pix: let me crop me out of some and I might be able to inbox some but I don't want to post anything on here.

AC: Yea, youd be pretty lucky if its the capacitor. Ive replaced a few of those for friends. Takes about 2 minutes. Hardest part is making sure the old capacitor is discharged and thats as easy as touching prong together with a screw driver. Just make sure you get the right capacitor and you can do it with your eyes shut. I can find a guide for you if you think you need it, and your AC unit should have the schematic for the connections.

Pix: Inbox is perfectly acceptable :)

I appreciate the help, I dont touch anythign electrical any more, I even make my friends disconect the battery on my bike lol.
Years of welding as a shipfitter in the ship yard have scared me, I have been shocked thousands of times but electrocuted once and that did it for me.

Ok so a friend of a friend is over here looking at the unit and my capacitor is out, he went to the parts place to get the exact one but put one that he had in it just to get it cooled down. He said it shouldn't be more than $150 depending on the part. Said that was probably the best case scenario for something to go wrong.

Sorry I typed that hard to read, he was saying $150 total for all the work. It ended up being $130, I only had $100 so he said pay my buddy the rest when I get it. He replaced the capacitor and said I needed 2 lbs of Freon. $130 seems fair to me :)
