im here to take your title, no bracket, cut a little plastic off the chain guard. Bolts lined up perfect. 14,000 miles like that no cop, no scrape,no brake. .13 cents in threadlocker.

Snap it off and keep it under the hump,IF you ever get stopped can go with the "sorry occifer,it just broke off yesterday and i have a new bracket ordered" and if anything usually just a fix it ticket(and IF you go through one of those damn stoplight cameras or should try to elude,kinda nice not to have those numbers hanging off your ass end).

yep and if it happened yesterday He can fine you for continuing to use a vehicle that does not meet Cali DOT regulations. It better just happened 10 minutes earlier when you tell him if you want to avoid a ticket...and you better sound sincere.
