Who Rode Today?

Was made sweeter with the amount of $$ spent on it a few weeks ago. Major service, forks rebuilt, new pads all round and C&S.

Funnily enough, not a fan of blue.
One of my friends had one in that dark silver they came out in, it was pretty awesome....

He sold it for peanuts last year before going back to Scotland.

They are no slouch in their own right.

Got out for 60 miles today. Picked up some lunch and went to see my mom. My uncle just passed yesterday and wanted to make sure she was doing ok. I do however think it’s time to let the bike find a new owner. Just not comfortable to ride anymore.
That is sad to hear like Bumblebee said, are you thinking another bike would be doable or are u gonna give up riding? Maybe one of those new katanas would be comfortable for u

In refection, there comes a time when you know it's time to hang up the helmet, you've done all you could to make your bike more comfortable for you and most likely any other bike would cause the same issues for you.

It's a sad day but a realistic one, we will all cross that threshold at one time.

I know the Sgt has said he has back problems, and as someone with 3 buldging discs in my lower back, and a list of old injuries, I kicked the Busa to the curb years ago.
Best motorcycle engine ever...comfort... not so much.
I tried multiple seats, pegs, and bars, including dirtbike bars, and still it was no good for me.
The length of the Busa's tank and reach to the bars is too far for my back to be comfortable.
On 1k's, no problems at all.
So a different bike Can make all the difference!
Try another bike!

Returned the Katana today . Prepared Tiger for tomorrow. IRON BUTT ! Alex and I . His first one so I've mapped the route.
Tiger still not sorted on key fob / parts back order so picked him up instead of riding wife's bike or Alex's ST1300.

Cool.
Please keep us updated on the progress when you can.

Warm day here today, 26c but a bit windy with it… so I went adventuring around the bays of Banks Peninsula. 220km return journey.
Fantastic views, fresh air and sunshine, dirt roads, what more could a Busa guy ask for?
The pics of the camping ground are at Pigeon Bay, really cool little camping area, mostly families with little kids running around and paddling in the shallows of the bay.. paradise!
We are in late spring here now and the days are long and warm, 6am sunrise to 8.30pm sunset. Roll on Summer…..

I'm done after 682 miles . 12 hours in saddle avg speed 57.x mph Alex continued on with 356 more miles to make his 1000 plus in 24 hours.
Been up since 3 am . It's much harder to do a SS1000 with two people when their pace is not Busa pace lol . Rd 163 was dangerous/ beautiful . From hwy 90 to I-10 Ozona TX.
Alex's HD Ultra classic was not cut out for it .
