any guesses on the power and torque i'm gonna get ??

Gen2 1409 cc
wossner pistons and con rods
akra 4 into 1
13.5:1 CR
gas flowed head
mapped
Cams 0.394/0.345 lift 256 inlet duration

bike made 190 rwhp and 113 ftlb DIN prior to strip down on Dynostar RR
engine will be completed and in bike over the next 10 days

was 180 bhp with stock cannons and prior to remap on same dyno many years ago

I would say lots more than anyone needs ,it all depends how you apply power to the ground , and if you can that’s great . Everyone wants pics so I send a pic .
me when I was much younger with leathers and helmet

one similar 1409 but with a little mild cam and 12.8 cr - made 205 hp and 120 lbft on same dyno
My mates recently refreshed motor , remained stock piston 1340cc , gas flowed head , valve springs and ti retainers and set of hot cams . Made 210 whp and 113ftlb on a known generous reading dyno , but realistic adjustment would possibly be around 205 whp and 110 ftlb . I am thinking of putting the ZX14R on same dyno to check .
Your 1409cc ( thought it was 1407cc kit ?? ) I think should make more whp with more torque as well , maybe 215whp with cams , 120 ftlb . Look forward to hearing your results .

yes 1407cc

well guys been messing around with 1407 build

recap

Gen2 1409 cc
wossner pistons and con rods
akra 4 into 1
13.5:1 CR
gas flowed head
mapped
Cams 0.394/0.345 lift 256 inlet duration

it made 202hp and 115lbf with completely terrible bottom end power and torque worse than prior

cranking pressure 165psi - too many base gaskets and too much deck height back in again

cranking pressure now 225 psi - 204hp and 115 lbf, altered cam timing to lobes in lost hp but still crap at low rpm 3-5k

engine out with a slightly mild inlet cam 28 degrees overlap inlet duration 246 degrees exhaust 234 degrees

engine makes 205hp and 116 lbft - but still 6hp down at 3k and 8hp down at 5k, starts making more power >6k

our conclusion is the ported head is just too large for the engine - the gas speed is just too slow <5k

we are going to get another gen2 head and put the latest cams in to see how this looks

engine is good, no smoke runs fine - flies above 6k but i want my bottom end back and better midrange

my mates bike with same 1407 , ported head (but how much metal out i do not know) and mild cams makes 205hp and 120lbf

does it sound like i have lost venturi effect ???

head would work fine on a big stroke 1650cc motor

i found the reason for the lack of performance - i realised that the head builder mistook my words to improve the flow rate to increase the combustion chamber - he thought i was going 1550cc motor - so the Gen2 combustion chambers were enlarged to 20cc :(

compression ratio was calculated to be 11.6:1

so engine is stripped down and Wossner pistons skimmed and combustion chamber skimmed off by 0.4mm and this returned the chamber size to 18cc.

we calculated last week the mods with 1.1mm squish should give us the required 13.6:1 cr

i recently bought a ZX14R with decat and remap its making 206hp 122lbft ( may make a little more my tuner guy added more fuel at mid range and advanced the ignition on last 90-100% TPS

i did some datalogging over last 2 years below are the roll-ons - ZX14R kills both the original tuned 1340 and 1406
but i have lost a sh*t load of low end and mid range - so i expect with the same cams a big improvement in 206hp and 118lbft from this motor
we shall see in the next 6 weeks :firing:

I'm expecting 210hp with 124 lbft on same dyno plus the busa is 18kg (39 lbs) lighter than zed due to lighter wheels and single sided Akra

Ouch that’s a bummer. What fuel are you using?

Do you use a dragy? At 7,558 density altitude my Gen 3 did 60-130 mph in 5.5 seconds so I’d expect both of your bikes to be a good bit faster. I’m thinking if you’re testing in specific gears it may favor the Zed.
VBOX Sport
just basic pump gas 95 or 98 RON - not sure what that equates to in USA octane ratings
just roll-on times no in gear change
the times are faster with Zed but gearing is not the same as on gearing commander - the busa is -1 tooth down on rear sprocket over stock

Ok chaps engine is back in the frame, the build last year produced 206hp and 118ftlb but not good low down power

we realised after discussing with head tuner, the combustion chambers were enlarged to 20cc from the normal 18cc for Gen2
i talk quite fast and somehow this had been misunderstood from improving flow to and increasing chamber volume for stroker motor
the wossner pistons had 6.3cc of volume instead of 4,3cc

compression ration calculated as 11.8:1

so we have skimmed the head by 0.4mm and skimmed the Wossner pistons tops by 0,3mm to reduce bowl depth.
compression ratio will now be 13.2:1

Cams have been turned in to improve mid range to 102 degrees.

in a week or so mapping will be complete - i expect more power and torque across the range

looking forward to that
