What am I doing wrong?

I had the same prob. Like everyone said, it gets better after 1000 mi. I adjusted the shifter and made sure I give a good strong upshift. Sometimes I still get one if im not running above 60.

Just going to repeat what everyone else said...Not a concern....I blame mine to laziness....after riding for a while you get tired or stop concentrating on shifting...you just tap it and it give the N....Used to happen a hell of a lot when the bike was new....Can't remember last time I did it though and I have about 3300 on her now....

Just to bring this up again along with BusaHaya's recent post on false neutral from 5th to 6th.

The service manager that I bring my bike to will check with his Suzuki Regional service guy about this matter of false neutral. He said his Suzuki guy is pretty cool. But on the scenario that Suzuki will not admit this problem, or initiate any plans to fix it just based on that... Wait, I think this should be another post.
