Here's the run down of my first time draging the busa. I have an 01 with 16/43, 6in ext swingarm, lowered 1" front 2" rear, and yoshi pipes. I weigh in at 300lbs fully dressed. Just seeing if you guys have some advice for me so i can have some more fun next time. And yes i am working on my reaction time.

run 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
R/t .78 .77 .53 .37 .51 .43 .27
60' 2.03 2.05 2.31 2.22 2.11 1.93 2.08

started at 42 psi in the rear tire on run 1,2,3 then droped to 30 psi on 4 and 5 then 15 psi for 6 and 7.
run 3 and 4 I had some wheel spin off the start.
run 6 i missed second ....twice.......
all were grandma starts, I tried to slip the clutch and hammer into it a couple times but it either bogged or i got the wheel spin.
I was also using the clutch, no quick shifts that night.

any help is useful, im just trying to have fun and it was. I raced a 4 wheeler a couple times with a gixxer 750 motor running 12.5's and a honda vtx running the same. What an great time. oh yeah spectator price only for last weekend and next weekend $12 to race all day.

The biggest place to worry about is your 60' time. Roll into the throttle as you apply the clutch. Do it quickly, and have it WOT and clutch out by the 60' mark if you want to go fast. Don't just hold the rpm and pop the clutch. You should be going at least low 1'60's, high 1.50's with your setup, since you weigh what you do.

Also, quit using the clutch to shift! Preload the shift lever with your foot, and blip the throttle. It is easy when you get used to it..

Not bad for a first time though!

You need more gear. At least 2 more in the back. I was 16/44 weigh about 260 in shorts, 6" over. Wasn't enough. 60' were consistent 1.5x's, best of 1.47.
Keep after it though, it will get better.

I have almost the identical set up. 02 Busa, streched 6" 16/43 and lowered front and rear. Also have the 4-2-1 Yoshi. I weigh around 240lbs suited up. I live in Colorado so I also have the altitude working against me which takes away alot of HP and about a .5 off your E.T. My 60' were just about the same as yours. I guess when we are trying to move as much weightg as we are, its difficutl to get into the 10's, 9's etc. But I am determained to at least get into the 10's. Good luck and let me know if you find any helpful tips for "big guys" racing.

I raced my bike the other night for the first time since i stretched it, my bes 60' was 1.54 and the worst was 1.58. I am about 260 in a pair of underwear. I think I will get to low 1.50's, high 1.40's with it soon. I am about 62.5 to 63 inches wheelbase right now
