Just wanted to let you all know that Exotic Cycle is no longer a spnonsor of the site. I typicall do not air out business dealings on the site but when I feel there are terrible business practices I pass it on.

We were contacted by Jeff from Exotic Cycle about advertising, they paid for three months up front. When it was almost time to renew I sent Jeff an email and PM and let him know the day was approaching for renewal. Jeff finally contacted me back and told me that he got a new email address and he never got my message. He told me that they wanted to continue to advertise but forgot the pricing, I shot that information back to them... I went several more weeks and contacted them again to inquire about payment, this went on for several more weeks of no contact. I do my best to work with advertisers because I know they are all super busy but failure to even acknowledge was getting riduculas. I took some time from work and called Jeff and he stated that he would have to talk to the owner, another week and nothing, I called again and he stated that he was really busy but would call me back... Nothing nothing and more nothing....

So at the end of the day Exotic Cycle got 3 months of free advertising and now some more free advertising about their inability to pay what they owe and failure to communicate like our other advertisers. I have locked CDIprecisions account and the account for Exotic Cycle....

While this post is here and we are speaking of business practices let me tell you some great information about a few of our fantastic advertisers...... the following folks have been with us a long time and have done some pretty great things for us.

StreetandTrack
CloudNine Motorsports
Ape
Roadlock
Motorsports Super Store
Mr Cycles
PMR
CycleBrakes
Oncycles
BoostbySmith
Smithers
Mr Cycles
Schnitz
Soupy
RIS
HPC

These companies have never ever been a day late, I think they know how to run a business and if you think about it they all have great customer service too......

Just wanted to pass information on to you all...

Doesn't mean they are a bad company.

Just means maybe he didn't want to pay to sponsor the site anymore.
No offense, that's just how I see it myself.

I see it all the time on my muscle car forums.
Kinda messed up to air it like that IMO, almost like they're being blackballed publicly.

Yeah, But how hard is it to say that ? They should then just pay the 3 months of advertising that they were given free, and THEN seperate. If it was this hard for Cap to deal with them, do you think it would be any easier for someone else to find out what's up with their "anything" ? But that's just my opinion ??

if he didn't want to pay for sponsership...why not say "Hey Doug...After the 3 months that I was up on your site it doesn't look like it did anything for my business, so I don't think I want to sponser the org anymore.  Thanks NumNuts"

That would have been better than just not responding to emails or phone calls...

I'm glad Cap put this out there...before somebody sent them money for a part and recieved this kind of customer service. THANK YOU CAP!!!!

Exactly.  Come on, how hard is it to acknowlege? They may not be a "bad" company, but they are an "unprofessional" company.

how much was it for them captain id be willing to help you recap what you lost let me know.

Ps - And id be doing it to help the site not that gay ass company.

I dont think Cap is worried bout the green, I think its more to try and help the members out to let em know about the unproffecialism. Thanks for the info Cap and I now know who not to buy from.

We typically never let this much information out, however Exotic never told us they wanted to stop, as a matter of fact they kept telling me that they wanted to continue or they needed to know the pricing again, this went on for three months. At anytime that they wanted to stop they could have just replied to a PM or sent an email. I am probably the easiest guy to get ahold of.

I have long believed that a company can live or die by this board, if you come here and provide bad service then members will talk and pretty soon your customers are gone... In this particular instance this company it seems they were in it to get what they could and move on and put the screws to the board at the same time... I could be wrong but I think that the lack of response is poor business. In good faith I left them up for 3 months, were not talking about trying to get ahold of someone at home in the evenings, this is a company......

If I didn't put something up then I am deralict for allowing you all to not know the truth, make your own mind, I still think they have a good product but you can expect poor communications.

Doug

I don't know, I kind of have mixed feelings on this one.

I've had very good dealings with CDiPrecision in the past. Not one single issue.

I know where captain is coming from, but you really should of just cut them off right away if they didn't pay and just assume they didn't want to sponsor anymore. No pay no sponsor, that simple.

I don't see why you have locked out CDiPrecision though. He is a member not just a sponsor. It only makes sense to lock out the Exotic Cycle account IMHO.

it's unfortunate to hear and i'm glad there gone. they may have recieved 3 mos. free here but they lost years of sales through this site. your loss
