Water Pump

Going to change the water pump on the bike, have a leak there. Bought a complete water pump. Rather than dealing with the mech seal if it had a issue. Any tips, I have the service manual. Going to drain the fluids this week and go from there.

Shouldn't be too bad I wouldn't think. I wish someone made an electric pump that could just run off the battery. That way you could cool your bike in the pits between rounds just using a battery.

An electric water pump does sound like a pretty good idea for a drag bike. Wonder what it would do to a 'Busa on the street?

Check out RCCturbos.com Richard makes a billet electric water pump $$$$$ but its a good pump just hook up to the battery with a switch and relay. As for replacing a stock pump the hardest part is taking off the plastics, then the sprocket cover. There is just 2 bolts that hold the pump on and thats it. Also make sure you oil up the the O ring on the pump.
