Took a ride to the mountains

I get a call from Ben (Yamahor) on Fri asking if I wanted to ride.

He is a good hike away so we decided to meet half way.

I leave my house at 10 so I can be at the halfway point by 11. As I am putting my helmet on Ben calls and says they are running late.

I leave on time like a good boyscout and arrive at 11, so 11:50 Paul (GMBusa) and Ben roll up.

We ride around a little they hit some corners and I defecate on a V-Rod

And we end up at Monticello, and the 2.5 (security guard) wants $15 bucks a head to get to the top.

OH He!! no!! So we park on the side walk for a photo opt.

Great pic, love the new ride, sounding like the 600 mile maintenance is closing in.

So on to the bamboozling.... I say to Paul, hey nice mirrors. He replies yeah they are off of a 1K, "I sell them".

Not knowing that Paul was the owner and operator of Gator Motorsports I inquire what they cost.

By the end of the conversation I agree to swap out my billet mirrors for his 1k mirrors and some credit at Gator Motorsports.

So after our ride, we are looking for the next stop.

Paul says hey lets ride to my shop and swap out mirrors, AND I will put a set of chrome mids on your bike while we are hanging out.

I respond no problem, but I want to leave BEFORE dark so I don't freeze on the mountain.

Now keep in mind that I live on the OTHER side of this mountain.

So we head to the shop and the work begins.

I start to pull the mirrors off and Paul is swapping out the clutch side mid.

He gets to the brake side and says we have a problem.

There is no mid pipe on the 01 brake side.

So if you want to do this we need to swap out your header for this 07 header off of my blue bike.

Shouldn't take long lets do it.

Than Paul says, hey while we are at it, lets remove the pair valve.

I dont have any block offs but I can make some.

Then Paul says hey you know while we are down here put this Muzzy fan on.

Sure Paul. Oh and Ben got hungry helping

Then Paul says hey, we should check your plugs

and bleed your clutch.

So now I'm in for a Fan, Plugs, Fluid, Mids, Header, and we swapped mirrors.
