Talk about ugly, first time this has happened

The pivot bolt for the rear cam chain guide has loosened enough to come in contact with the sprag sprocket for the starter. Spinning fast enough it melted the upper case and cut about a half inch away like I took a die grinder to the case. Ugly

Dam, I think the repair strategy is buy a new engine. Hope you can patch that up somehow instead. It looks like there is a crack above the pivot bolt too on the wall facing us. New engine?
