Wow... I'm at a loss for words at the stupidity of some people. It's actually quite frightening!

No doubt about it...it is the stepfathers fault if he is the one who left the pistol within reach of a child. I also think that the Wii "controller gun" should be manufactured to not so closely resemble a real firearm. If the toddler recognized a bright red or orange "contoller gun" as the reason dad has so much fun in front of the TV, that bright fun toy is what the kid will pick up and play with instead of a dull, black, heavy gun. Still the gun owners fault.

ok everyone, I agree he should be chrged, but how about the mom being in the same room when it happened, and she knew it was there. I say charge both of them.
