Roaring toyz peg tag bracket install

I've ordered the roaring toyz peg mount.
ROARING TOYZ LICPLT CHROME PEG MNT ENGRVD BUSA RTS 728 RTC
Which currently I'm trying to install, I've just run into a few snags I didn't forsee really I've taken of the original bracket and pulled out the original lighting from the fender I'm going to be removing, but I wasn't sure what I'm doing with the light, am I just cutting the wires pulling them or disconnecting them some other way? Any insight or instructions would be greatly appreciated.

You can just leave it and hook another wire to the same one and run it to the new plate. If you don't want the old one lite just remove the stock wire and continue it to the new plate holder

Thanks , am I cutting this wire though. Right now I'm trying to remove the assembly from the wiring which is in the photo? Unfortunately my work light causes a bit of the blur. I just wasn't really sure if I'm missing a really easy way to take off the assembly?
