Rear Seat Cowl Mod To Accept Handrails

Hey All- Just wondering if anyone has any experience in doing the Rear Seat Cowl Modification so it will go over the Handrails. I figured that I would ask before I smoked my brain and possibly hacked the Cowl. Thanks In Advance..Rich..

It's simple do a search here, but just put the rear cowl on with the grab rail in place. Mark where the grabrail hits, and cut with a dremel tool. You can take baby steps until you're happy.

Thanks Man..I was going to do that but I was afraid of chipping the paint on the cowl or not getting it perfect. I have a Personal Flaw of being a Perfectionist Especially when it comes to my Bikes. Was wondering if there was a way of making some sort of Template?

put tape on the paint before u cut and it will help the paint from chipping. its a easy mod. just cut small amounts and keep testing

you'll do great! Have fun with the mod and try not to over think it. (easier said then done sometimes) I just about always over think things.
