Putting Busa motor in Vrod

I have a bet with a friend I can make a Harley go faster then his old rocket.
Question is, what year is best for that motor?
What kind of gearing do you guys run?
Stock ECU should be enough, but just in case , do you guys reccomend one?

Drag racing?
I wouldn't want a Busa engine in any other machine that doesn't handle anywhere except a straight line(Busas corner and handle excellent)
A gen2 Busa engine, 08-21, is a noticeable upgrade over the still great gen1(up to 20hp)
The drag racers here will help you with gearing vs track length or top speed.
An ecu flash really wakes up the gen2.
Put on a full exhaust and dyno tune it.
But, a stock gen1 in a bicycle frame will eat a Triumph Rocket's lunch.

The Busa engine is as slow and tame as your wrist allows, you can cruise around all day and have no idea how much power and acceleration you have.
My only concern(and it's a big one) is that a v-rod is like any hardly-ableson, they don't go great around corners, so be mindful of the suspension.

Yea I don't plan on corning hard per say, but I have a idea on how to make it corner better.
