Postal is back from

(yamahor @ May 25 2007,19:47) Tom, Great to see you made it back OK, and are spreading the word of God.
Yes, it was good to get the opportunity to preach there. How are you doing man? Healing up okay? We have got to get together soon bro.

Tom.

(BigDawg_03Busa @ May 25 2007,20:03) Awesome bro, had a co-worker just got back from Haiti.  It's awesome to see obedient servants willing to leave our luxuries to spread the Word of God.
Good to hear from ya bro! It was indeed tough leaving the comforts of home, but the protocol team there treated us like ambassadors.

How are you doing?

Tom.

(Relsek @ May 25 2007,21:57) I went to Africa last fall, it was the neatest place I've ever been.

Kevin
What part did you go to man? How long were you there?

P.

(GSXcite @ May 25 2007,22:18) Godd for you Postal.

My world changed for me too when I was deployed to Viet Nam! People should not have to live that way. Makes you appreciate the blessings most of us take for granted!
Man, I honor you!!! I missed Nam by three years. You are a real hero in my book, God bless you!

Tom.

(DaCol. @ May 25 2007,23:29) I was in SL from Nov 99 until Nov 2005 with the UN Peacekeeping Dept. What a place, lived up on the Mountain overlooking the bay. What a beautiful country. Did you eat across from the UN HQ at Alex's (Best Baracuda and Calimara (SP ?) around  or the Crown Bakery (Best Coffee

and the 4 Seasons Pizza

) downtown Freetown close to the BAT TREE and US Embasy. I just loved the Country and MOST of it's people. And those Sunday Church Parades

with the Bands. What a site. Hope you had a great time, even if it is a rat hole of corruption. Had an Office in Conakry and in Liberia also, so if you have any questions about them, just PM me

That's incredible man! I saw several UN vehicles, and I understand the UN presence is dropping off there. I didn't eat at the places you mentioned, but then again they toted us around so much I didn't know where I was half the time. Our day consisted of a trip from the west side of town to the east side of town twice a day. We stayed at the Bintumani hotel (which is ran by the Chinese) on the west side. I bet you saw everything, as you were there during the civil war.

Take care,

Tom.

(Red05 @ May 26 2007,13:18) POstal, that's very nice of you to be so generous to others. DaCol, it sounds like you live a very interesting life!
Thanks, but no praise here man. I give God the glory.

Tom.

You're a good man Tom. I'm glad you were able to help out over there and you're back safely.

Tom,I never knew you did this....My hats off to you Man.Glad youre back and posting about it.

The Chineese were just coming in and investing when I left. Is the Casino still there

, it had a unbeliveable patio overlooking the inlet. They were the only place you could get ice cream and a white table cloth elegant Dinner. You can see when the Brits had Freetown before the civil wars, it was one beautiful place. Loved buying fresh (just caught) fish on the way home everyday, sold by the fishermans wives on the Beach ! That's where I learned to BBQ Lobster or Giant Prawns. You cook them on their backs while still alive. Yeah, they do squrm a little

Thanks Warren. It's good to back home though. I missed my family terribly, and I missed American food!

Thanks man, but my hat is off to those missionaries who live there. One guy we met from the US sold his home, car, furniture, and lives in SL about 30 miles outside of Freetown in a village. He started a school, an orphanage, and oversees six hut-churches. He uses his pension to pay the teachers at the school. This is one of the missionaries we will be helping.

His name is William Siviles, and he is from Virginia Beach, VA.

Yeah, the casino is still at the Bintumani. Never went in there, I am not a gambling man. But the hotel wasn't too bad.

Tom.
Yeah, I'm doing pretty good dude. Healing up fine... Slow, but fine. I've actually been doing MUCH better since a couple weeks ago. Had a spiritual revelation. Still got my problems here and there, but I'm getting better at dealing with the temptation...

Postal...my hat is off to you man. I had no idea. Always thought you had high standards..now I know. Very, very cool.

God bless you.

Ghana, 1 week, you can read all about it on my website at the link below.

Visiting another Country will definitely make you thankful for the things we take for granted here at home.

I plan on it eventually... Going to MMI in Dec or Feb (haven't decided when I wanna start, probably Dec) and specializing in Suzuki, with experience in the big 5 to work on them... Looking at eventually opening a custom shop. I wanna build Drag bike engines, road race bikes, and some turbo and NA just plain fun street bikes... Plan on doing that when I can. If I gotta work at a dealer before, so be it, but it will hopefully happen. Gonna get the Busa when I get back and financially stable...
