It happens every day WWJD.  You've got to remember, it's about 200-300 miles to go around and get to Knoxville going around the mountains.  Some of these trucking companies can go through, pay their fine, and still save money on diesel driving all the way around. Some of the local ridres will run interference for the trucks and warn the other riders as a general rule.

I almost got clobbered by that guy. Had there not been two VERY HELPFUL riders waving at me to slow down, he would have taken me out.
