According to Superbike Planet's Facebook page, 12 yr old Peter Lenz has died from crash injuries in this morning's warm up for the USGPRU at Indy.
Sad day, glad I decided not to go this year.

Very sad news, some friends met him and his father at Jennings in FL and had nothing but kind words for the both of them. I can't imagine what his family is feeling right now, a quick search on youtube will show him all fixed up after a get off in the rain...he was no stranger to crashing.

Motorsports are dangerous even on a track with all the right gear and all the right people to help you. On the plus side Peter is probably has his days full showing Don and Kevin a thing or two Now when my day comes I will never keep up
