PC IIIr with a serial cable???

I have a PC IIIr with a serial cable and I have a map I got with the exhaust I bought. Is there any different between PCIII with USB and the one I have which come with a serial cable? or I will be fine to download the map using the old fashion cable ???

You need a computer with a COM port on it (an older computer). Also you use the drop down box in PC program to specify which COM port you're using (I believe default is "1"). Then just load the map, If it's not hooked up right it will tell you.

If the software is the same as mine (3.2.1), just connect your computer to the PCIII, open the Map file that came with the exhaust in the software, then send the map to the PCIII.

the adepter cable didn't work. because I have pcIIIr so I bought the USB adepter.
