A few months ago I sent my Gen 2 Passenger pegs to T&M powdercoating, and got excellent results. Before I shipped them I cut off the hook shaped design over the exhaust bolt. I bandsawed it, then filed and sanded them. It only took a few minutes and was very easy as the aluminum is very soft. You also can't tell they were ever there.
The main reason I did this was(aside from looks)that I was afraid my wife would eventually catch her pants leg on it and do a faceplant. Don't say it can't be done:laugh:
Much to my suprise(that she even noticed) she really likes them this way.
Reason being that now the inside of her heels can rest above the exhaust bolts. It slightly allows her feet to turn, and makes it more comfortable on her knees. In turn making for a more comfortable ride.
Alot of passenger threads lately, just thought I'de pass this along.
And FYI, T&M only charged $55 and it only took a couple days to get them back!
