Hey guys I've been having a issue for years and just getting back into modding again. Problem is I'm only 5'8 and my wife is 5'. Both "athletic" build, and we both fit on the front seat..... So she's either riding way back and sliding forward on me or killing her forearms holding herself up, or just strait uncomfortable. I ride all the way forward on the tank mostly like you should and there is about a 4 or 6" gap (it feels) on the front seat left unused that just spaces between us. The only option I have come up with is a aftermarket seat with the raised back end she can basically slide forward on so she isn't so far back... I've already lowered the rear 1" below stock but using stock seats at the moment, other mods mostly cosmetic. Anybody else have this problem?

I'd check out Lee at New Image,have been running one of his seats since 2008 and besides being comfortable they look great.Very reasonable prices and fast turnaround(mine took about a week).Has a gazillion options and should be able to help you out.

Tobins or new image seats sound like the best option... this is an older pic, but it will give you an idea about the seat.

I have one on my 2011 and had one on my 2003,really like them a lot.
