Pair Valve?

I am new to this but what is a pair valve? and is there any gains or losses when you remove or block the valve ? and where is it located on the bike any help would be great thanks Dennis

front of the motor below the head.

Remove if adding pipes or system.

or just block with marble if you dont care about the extra weight.

Pair is a piece of Krap that recuirculates spent fuel back into the air box... yuk...
