my dad called tonight to say his mother had been checked back in to the hospital.
2 hours later he called back to say she was gone.
she had a DNR in place and truthfully, her quality of life was not where it should have been. she was 80+
she was an honest woman, wife of a farmer and raised three kids on her own in the mid 50s ~60s. her husband passed when their youngest was only 4.
she had strength of character and always gave to others as well as she could.
I admired her as a person and loved her like a grandchild does.
RIP.
I will be away (traveling to Nebraska for the service) for a short while.....so don't have any good raffles till I get back!
