ipod/ipad users - free text msgs to cell phones no 3g

I found this little app from a friend and was curious if anyone else has used it. I've been using it for a few weeks and seems to be pretty good so far from my ipod touch to txt my wife or friends. Just needs a wifi connection. The do have a way to make phone calls for pretty cheap or you can download a buncha crap but I dont use it for that. My friend's kids do though and they seem to like it. Figured I'd share and see if anyone else has used it. Ultimately I'd like to put it on my step daughter's ipod so she can txt her mom or me but trying to make sure its the right app first

I use Text Plus app with my IPad. It works well and serves its purpose.

I use TextNow on the iPad and it works great...
I shut off texting on my cell phone (long story).

cool thx for the input guys I'm really looking to add the functionality for the kids and if I can get buy with it on the ipad/ipod when my cell is out (international) then it would be huge
