Time to keep this moving.... I believe Arkansas and Eureka Springs is a no brainer! However, nothing has been finalized for Colorado should it be selected November 27th, 2004. Start posting your thoughts and comments on "Where" in Colorado we will base out of "IF" Colorado is chosen as the official Meet-N-Greet location!

I'm in no way endorsing either location Make your own decision here based on Your preferences..

I'm basically just going with the concensus. If it's somewhere in the middle portion of the U.S., then I'll probably be 80% sure I'll be there.

As mentioned before, Idaho Springs should be looked at. Very close to Denver (less than 30 miles west, in the mountains) close to Central City for gambling, and lots of night life. Good cheap accomodations, camping, hot springs for the aches and pains. And BIKER FRIENDLY....I will try to find a link.

Well Denver would certainly be handy, but if we want a good deal and the ability to maybe lodge the entire group together with some special provisions made for the motorcycles.... I'd say one of the casino's themselves in Blackhawk etc... Should be able to get a package deal based on numbers... Otherwise one of the many Mountain lodges would make for good riding, a real Colorado experiance for the family, and a little more security than Denver proper. But it could still be close to Denver... Colorado Springs also has a lot to offer the family and the riding is excellent.

And the robotic, brainwashed, mind-numbed Christians could drop in and visit 'Focus on the Family' and James Dobson...

Heck, anywhere west of I-25 is good to go.

Idaho Springs, Denver, & the casino's (Blackhawk, Etc...)
Anyone else? How about some of you locals.....

i am in thornton, it is 10 miles away from denver, which few of the local busa members are at the same area i am. check our local busa club guys, we are almost 35 local busa owners.
http://www.milehighbusaowners.com/
if you guys would like to stay close to us, we can find you guys garages for free to keep the bikes in at night time. i am sure not every body will keep here bikes out. hotels they really don't offer parking.
our club member would help you guys in any possible way, even to find the hotels & meet you guys somewhere.
please feel free to join our message board & lets keep in touch, most of the members in our club are members in this website too.
we also hope the captain will make this event. i have 2 hayabusas my self & the captain is welcome to use one of my bikes.
if you guys have any questions please feel free to ask.
jake.

Rev may have something with the Central City/Blackhawk location....they would most likely work with us. And, for those who want to camp, just head south over the top, good camping close by. Do any of the Denver members know if the hyway between Idaho Springs and Central city has been completed? Only thing about Central City/Blackhawk, very tight and very busy.....kind of like taking about a quarter of the Vegas strip and cramming it in a small mountain ravine. I really do need to go visit some of my money there anyway......

Sounds like the Captain has it made!
Eureka Springs: free flight to and from event.
Colorado: Use of a hayabusa.

What is all this talk of hotels?? I couldn't sleep inside while my baby is outside! She is either coming into the hotel room with me or I am camping.

I plan on camping anyway, so I can chain myself to my busa before I go to sleep ( with the .357 under my pillow).

I figure you're joking, but in case you're serious...

To the best of my knowledge Colorado isn't the most firearms friendly state in the West. Especially the closer you get to Denver...

The locals will correct me if I'm wrong.

And about the microbrew, it that some yuppie kind of beer or what?

Yes I'd like to meet. I'd like to have you, Greg from Iowa, Rev and the mrs. pac, and all the others that were in and out or our illustrious thread. It could be sort of a reunion union. We could then sit around a camp fire and discuss all those things in person, or not. It would be fun though. I plan on going, I have already set aside one week of vacation just for it. As long as it doesn't coincide with another trip I already have planned, I hope to be there.

The 'rubber outers' is just a bit of little, yappy, leg-humping dog humor...

And a microbrew is, sometimes, the best of beer; other times a good garage floor cleaning fluid. Microbrews are small scale operations - beer brewed in small batches - as opposed to the gargantuan commercial breweries. True to microbrew-ism(?), a microbrew should never touch the insides of a can and, optimally, should come to you with 'stuff' in the bottom of the glass. Pays your money, takes your chances...

Are you crazy? Rehash the Theism thread around a campfire where Mrs. Rev has easy access to glowing red hot, sharp, pointy sticks and a thousand acres in which to bury the remains??
