HOW MUCH OIL??

HOW MUCH OIL DO YOU RUN IN YOUR BIKE??
BY THE WINDOW THAT IS .. I HAD MY BIKE ON THE DYNO WITH BREAK IN OIL STILL IN IT
IT DYNOD 152.4 CHANGED THE OIL PUT IT BETWEEN
THE FULL AND THE FILL MARK AND PICKED UP 3HP
ALSO IT LOOKED LIKE THE FACTORY HAD WAY TO MUCH OIL IN THE BIKE.. LIKE MAYBE AN EXTRA HALF QUART..

& its in the middle of the Window.

So whats the Verdict?

A function of engine oil is to work as a heat sink/heat transfer fluid. It works more efficiently in that task, as a thermodynamic working substance, if there is a full amount of it in the crankcase. You will probably pick up some power running the motor with a bit less in it. And since the Busa seems to have plenty of cooling capability designed in, you probably won't hurt the motor. But running the engine a bit low on oil will put more stress on the oil that is still there. I would say that if you are going to run it low, definitely use the good stuff.
