I also have the XTI and love it. I have been looking at the wide angle lens also latley.

Wife did tons of research apparantly. Camera store guru's actually talked her into the lesser priced Sigma. The build quality in this puppy is obvious. The Canon wide angle is an 8-20 mm,while the Sigma is 10-20mm,but they assured her there was little diff,and not to spend the x-tra dough.

This puppy is heavy and looks tuff.

As soon as my lazy azz gets up and about I will do some comparisson shots between the wide and the stock lens.

A buddy here in town has one,plus he just got one of those sick giant white lens for it.

I have the older Rebel... 70-300 USM IS lens and the stock package 18-55 lens... Really want a better walk around lens with IS but will have to wait. Also got he vertical grip with 2 battery casing.
