PLEASE WAIT TO POST REPLAYS TILL THE END, THANK YOU.

If you want a tinted visor but ride at night a lot it, this is the mod for you. This mod is very simple, fast, and way less than a new visor so lets begin.

Items needed:

1. Helmet (if you dont have one, GET one today!)

2. STATIC CLING window tint (avalible at auto parts stores or Wal-Mart, do not use regular tint because it wont be removeable)

3. Window tinting kit ( just really need the squeege out of it )

4. Plastic Kitchen wrap

5. Magic marker

6. Scissors

7. Cutting board or thick card board ( optional )

Step #4

Place plastic wrap on tint trying to get it as smooth as possible. You will be able to see the outline in person, it just disappeared because of the flash.

Step #5

Cut out the outline using a pair of scissors or a razor knife ( use a cutting board or thick cardboard if doing so on the kitchen table )

Step #7

Clean inside of visor and spray visor and tint with a soapy water solution. Position inset properly on visor so there is no light gap when wearing helmet ( may take a few trys.) Then squeege out all the bubbles and clean again.

You may want to put a few positioning marks on the visor with the marker after getting the placement right, this will help with future reinstallations. To remove, just lift a corner and peel off then store it in your pocket or under the seat.

I used 5% tint but it comes in many darknesses so you can choose to go a little lighter.

The total cost was $14 but the tint comes in a roll large enough to do a lot of these inserts, so you and a few friends can go in together on this.

There are only two problems with this mod.
1. the clearity of the tint is not 100% but it is a good 90% (you have to look real hard to notice anything)

2. The box says not to use on plastic but I dont see where any harm will occure.

So enjoy and have a good one.
