finally ordering my HIDs tonight

got the 8k/6k for the low/high. contacted an old friend who is a former police officer(changed career fields little over a year ago), he said I should be good unless things have changed.

The blue HIDs I had made me a known target. The Gen II lights are more than adequate, but if I went with HIDs on the GenII they would be 6K

6000k is still blue. If you want something other than blue go with 5000k. 5000k is white, and 4300k has a slight yellow tint like hallogen. 3000k is pure yellow, designed for fog lights.

Don't forget to adjust the headlight. When mine were installed (Thanks Ted!! :beerchug:) I found them to be pointing a little more down thank I liked. Sunday made the adjustment so it points up further. Now I can really see what's in front!

Okay went back and researched a little:

According to the manufacture / distributor 6000K is white with a bluish tint most closely matching OEM.

Some people are all about the blue, I just had a different experience. GenI definitely adjust the lights up. I am satisfied with my Gen II at night. I'm very sure that HIDs would make an improvement.

i would recommend these 2 tutorials for install!

That deffinition is incorrect. I've seen them all in person, so I know from first hand sight and experience. I was trying to find some pics of my friend's car with the 6000k kit, but I can't find em. I did find some online, though, of other cars. The first is my bike with the McCulloch 5000k, the second is another brand, but it's 6000k, the third is a McCulloch 6000k kit in a ford truck with stock fogs.
